The usefulness of slice from Roger there...previous point , he gets a short reply from Nole, attacks it , gets a BP. The next point plays the same shot but Nole knows he cannot reply it short, goes deep, but too deep, Roger gets the break. Slice is hugely important for Roger.

Bodes well that Roger will serve better in set 2 as well. 56% first serve % and 44% 2nd (this isn't a bad stat for 2nd serve % for Roger against Novak) can surely only improve in set 2, especially first serve %
