:D:face-with-tears-of-joy::face-with-tears-of-joy::face-with-tears-of-joy:On a happier subject, Australia won the third Test over England , leads the series 3-0 with two more tests to go.

It has taken almost three Tests - and complete domination at times from Australia - but Piers Morgan has finally conceded England won't win the Ashes.

The polarising commentator arrogantly declared before the series he 'genuinely believed' the tourists would win 4-0 or even 5-0 due to supposedly having a 'better team, better captain and better management.'

Morgan's tweet raised plenty of eyebrows given England are hardly world-beaters at Test level - and haven't won on Australian soil in the traditional form of the game since January 2011.

With Australia closing in on a 3-0 lead in Adelaide, Morgan tweeted how 'incredibly disappointing' he feels - and hopefully while carving out a slice of humble pie.

'To say this is not how I hoped, or expected, things to go is the understatement of the millennium,' he posted on X.
'We’ve been battered into supine embarrassing submission by a much better Australian side. Incredibly disappointing.'

It didn't take long for Aussie fans to poke fun at Morgan, who is famed for his brashness.

'You Poms are so arrogant. You trash talked our boys, saying they were the worst team to play in the Ashes for years. Yet they have demolished you,' posted one.

'What's worse Mr Morgan, is Australia hasn't been at full strength,' pointed out another.

'There has been a clear gap in skills, mentality and physical fitness between the two teams,' offered a third.

Following the second Test at the Gabba - which Australia won by eight wickets - Morgan teed off on social media.

'Cocky Aussies are gobbing off like they've already won the Ashes,' he posted on X on December 8.

'They haven't. England have had a shocking start, but we can still win this series.

'Just need the rest of the team to burn with same ferocious intensity as their leader Ben Stokes.

'Start blazing, gentlemen.'

Morgan's patriotic view was slammed online.

'At this rate, England will win the Ashes on moral victories and fiery speeches', one posted.

'Mate. You are a clown. Respectfully', another said.

'Don't cry Piers, five-nil is loading', added a third.

On the one level, while am over the moon about it, but from a purist viewpoint, Test Cricket ( is meant to be contested on 5 days of action) is dying.

In modern times , there's other forms and condensed Cricket are far more popular.

This Ashes Test series, we've see AU sheer domination of England - where just 11 days of 15 was played in three tests !!! England showed some fight in the third adelaide test (my hometown).

From a tradition angle, that's not healthy for the long-term future for Test Cricket.

Next test will be on boxing day in Melbourne.

Can the Aussies continue the domination and win the series 5-0 ?

That'll make Piers think twice in the future :face-with-tears-of-joy::face-with-tears-of-joy::face-with-tears-of-joy:

Also, we're seeing more and more female playing cricket these days - AU, England, New Zealand, India (some countries i'm aware) have women matches , mainly condensed "Big Bash" competition, no tests.

It would be nice to see Cricket break through in the USA.
