Blue Jays are on a verge of clinching AL East title, their first in 22 years (they are leading the Orioles 15:2 in the 9th).  They have a great team and hopefully they will keep winning.  Go Jays!!!!

I don't really follow Baseball much, but occasionally look in to see how my anointed team are doing... and they are the Oakland A's.  Not a great season this year but they did pretty well in the previous couple of years.

I guess I'm also an "Anyone but the Yankees" kind of guy too.

I wasn't such a big fan of baseball either, but somewhere down the road from the middle of this season I got into following the Blue Jays and now I am very interested.  They lost the first 2 games at home vs Texans Rangers, but they rebounded wonderfully in Texas and won the next two games.  So the deciding game will happen in Toronto on Wednesday.  I really hope they will be a bit more relaxed this time as they have a really great team.

The NLCS will be contested between the NY Mets and the Chicago Cubs, two until recently pretty sad-sack teams with loyal fan bases.  I'm an American League girl, but I'll have to go with my hometown Mets.  Both fan bases will be hoping their hearts out, though.  I think the Cubbies last won the World Series in like 1908.

I saw that the Mets won game 1, but I missed the 2nd one.

Blue Jays came back home and won tonight so they are now down 1:2 in their series.  They had a terrible inning in KC in game 2, but tonight they provided a bit of redemption for themselves.  Next 2 games at home will be critical and they pretty much have to win both of them to give themselves any chance of prevailing. Fingers crossed. :good:

Just mainly rooting against the Cubs.  Of all teams left I guess I'd like to see the Royals win.

Phew, Blue Jays stay alive, perhaps not for long, but I like the fight.  Estrada was huge this afternoon in facing elimination.

Let's go Blue Jays!!!!!

Looks like Cubs are done, down 0:3 in the series and 0:6 in the 4th inning in game 4.

Well game 6 was a heartbreaker if you are a Jays fan.  The rain delay didn't help them as they were gaining the momentum.  Save that game 4, which was a disaster, they fought great.

Game 1 and it's tied 4-4 in the 12th inning.  They've burned through a lot of pitchers on both sides.  Lots of wackiness.  It's already a long night, and looks to be a long series.  Best I can think is that the Mets are more than holding their own in KC.  Let's go, Mets!

Yeah that went on for far too long, I fell asleep but KC managed to squeeze a victory in game 1.

Congratulations to Kansas City Royals on winning their 1st title in 30 years.  They won the series 4:1 and were really good.
