Ohtani, this incredible beautiful freak of nature, simply did something unprecedented again.

Pitched a 10K, 6 inning shutout as a starting pitcher while hitting also three home runs , one which sailed out of the Dodger stadium. Of course in a playoff game to send the Dodgers to the World Series. This is insanity.

Get this: he Struck out the side at the top of the 1st inning and then cooly hit a hr as the lead off hitter in the bottom of said inning.

As a lifelong SG Giants fan I was born & raised to loathe/despise the LA Dodgers, but this man is the greatest baseball player I’ve seen in my lifetime & may be the greatest baseball player ever.

can there be any doubt that he's the greatest ever? What's the competition? Bonds and Ruth? Surely he clears both..

Depends on the criteria, by sheer numbers Babe Ruth had better stats as an individual pitcher & hitter (set several long standing records in both categories). He hit more HR’s one season than entire teams.

Bonds was a beast as a hitter, hitting for both power & average.

However Ohtani has done everything simultaneously, no one ever could pitch, hit & steal bases with his skill at the same time. Again sheer insanity.
