This is sad. Alcaraz is injured and decidedly the better player here no doubt. Zverev is being such a loser for complaing about the timeouts. They are not clearly fake.

Zed's argument is that the timeouts were taken for cramps. I think the nature of what's ailing Carlos will come out in the wash later.

Zed has served great all match apart from a couple of moments - critical moments. This is another one. See if he can hold things together.

Well I will reserve my judgement till after, when I was soo mad at Lorenzo for retiring out of no where when he was 2 sets to love over Novak

it's really sad watching a player we all know is exceptionally gifted who is struggling this much and should have won this match comfortably.

Right now Zverev’s biggest battle is with himself at this point.

What's the argument again? If not a timeout, then what is one expected to do when facing an injury?
The argument is that you can't take an MTO for cramp. Zed was convinced it was cramp not another injury. We'll see later, as I'm sure it will be analysed in fine detail.

so what over the past 8-9 years has changed in the game that players are cramping so much more than ever before? All those years before this rarely used to happen.

You could argue today's game is sheer physical then say 10 years ago but i can't recall player cramping as often as we're seeing now.

There were Injuries, yes. Cramps no.
