Just listened to Gil Gross and his thoughts on Andy Murray coaching Jack Draper, he said experience wise Murray probably was the best , but still he wont be the most important person in the box
Thats the physio ( I tend to agree with Gil)

Sad news,
Lorenzo Musetti has withdrawn from Roland Garros he had a scan yesterday which revealed a retus fomoris injury which needs several weeks of rest and recovery he was a 2025 RG SF, poor guy since AO this year, when he was 2 sets to the good against Novak and had to retire with a leg injury, he cant seem to get a break
BTW A retus fomoris injury is a common, often acute, strain or tear in front of the thigh
With Lorenzo Musetti out of RG, Wawrinka no longer needs a WC so the WC goes to unhearlded 26 yo Clemant Tabur ranked #168.Fils will be no 16th seed

Arkansas Tennis Is Back!
Both men's and womens programs have been reinstated immediately after the announcement discontinuation of the programs April 24.
As Jon Wertheim stated " Its almost like this decision wasnt well thought out".

Nadal on Alcaraz and his injury,

"Luckily it wont become chronic. I think he's made the right decisions. He's following the right treatment, I know it well, I tore the same thing twice"
"I spoke with him when it happened. What we said stay between us"

What? Just another photoshoot for Vanity Fair while "on the shelf" w/ his wrist injury! This an examp. of missplaced occupation outside play?:lol6:

That photoshoot was done before Alcaraz suffered his wrist injury and was to be launched just before Roland Garros

Zverev has withdrawn from ATP500 Hamburg on going back problems, quite frankly he has enough practice on clay before RG, why would he go to Hamburg in the first place, regardless of back problem?

Alex de Mianur late entry to start at Rothenbaum

Mrzz if you are around I just got mail that Fonseca will not play Hamburg as he felt a very mild pain in his wrist and the team preferred to withdraw and enter Roland Garros 100%

In Gill Gross's latest mailbag, someone asked him to compare Jodar and Fonseca. Here's the summary, with the caveat that it is all "right now:"

Serve: Fonseca, slight edge
Forehand: Fonseca
Backhand: Jodar
Return: Jodar, slight edge
Movement: Jodar, slight edge (not a strength for either)
Net game: Fonseca
Mentality: Jodar

While they're not necessarily even categories, that's 4-3 to Jodar, though two of his edges are slight to one for Fonseca.

I read Gils lastest mail bag in that comparison
Your thoughts I remember saying to you lately that I thought at present that Fonseca at times loses focus, but I feel he has good tactical brain, all round variety in his game.

Yeah, I still think Fonseca will end up the better player, but that both are going to be really good.

Jannik Sinner has now won 28 matches in a row. The record is Djokovic with 43 in 2010-11. Still a ways to go, but at 28 wins it is sort of like taking a no-hitter into the 7th...you start taking the possibility seriously.

To get to 44 matches won, Sinner would have to win tomorrow (29), Roland Garros (36), Halle (41), and reach at least the R16 of Wimbledon (44).

To be honest, he must be getting exhausted. I could see him take Halle off and go from RG to Wimbledon.

Sinner is not playing Halle this year, which I think is a sensible idea, so he will go to Wimbledon and defend his title without a warm up.
