Amanda game suits Wimbledon, fast surfaces are her best, don't let that double bagel put anyone off, she learned from that and beat Iga at the USO, not bad on clay as well

Certainly not as far as I'm concerned. She held game points in that final but did not convert.

Well I been sayin' all week long over here, i wanna see the young american do some damage in this championship, and she did, great fightback in the second set, too.

AA's game is very similar to Saba. She can go watch some of Saba's matches and learn how she went from a ball basher to a thinker out there. I mean she still kills her fair share of balls, but she does use her brain more out there.
Amanda just has to watch her margins, something Saba has had to do, and still has to

Very good call Margaret, kskate and Moxie, congrats !

Do you think if she broken in that opening game ( where she had three break points) might've set the tone for the rest of the match, to her favour ?
For the record, I was rooting for Anisimova. Just a bit. As consistent a year as it has been for Sabalenka, she's fallen just short in the Majors and I am happy got this win. She's a lot of fun...to watch, and in general.

and to develop more of a sliced backhand, that'll keep her groundies more steady.

I mean Maddy stole her 3peat in Oz, Coco stole her maiden RG title, AA stole her opportunity to win Wimby. I see her beating Iga on grass. She definitely coughed up her chance to win SW19. So you know coming into USO, she was like I'm getting this repeat if I have steal somebody else's dream.

I think on the HC generally is where Saba is at her best, defending your title is harder to me than winning it
Most of the time matches are on her racquet, she can be her own worst enemy at times and it showed in the majors she lost in 2025

:loudly-crying-face: AWWW i really wanted Amanda to prevail. It wasn't to be.

Now at the point of 3:10 on the vid, have a close listen to the question by "Eleanor" on playing with the roof closed.
It did bother her serving, alright.

All players have to adjust to the conditions, with the roof being closed and with the lights on it is understandable, if a player is not used to it, it can affect them, in saying that she will be prepared better next time she plays under those conditions

2025 women's final available now in full for you...and me  but why can't the commentary be panned to one channel only, because some fans out there who would like to hear the tennis without commentary.
