Well done to Fritz who won the 5th set 64 over Perricard, a match that was suspended yesterday, quite frankly should have been played out yesterday as there was still enough time before the curfew at 11pm
Fritz has a favorable draw and could make the SFs if things go his way
Well done Fritz!

Match between Bublik and Munar going 5 sets, with Munar winning the 4th set in a TB 76(5)
Munar has been playing good ball of late and has a early lead in the 5th set 2-1

Then maybe next time Fritz should win the first two sets, and the curfew won't come into play. That's his fault for not taking care of business early in the match. The little details do matter at the slams.

Gotta love Wimbledon: three of the top nine seeds out in the first round, though it is 7-9. Sort of bummed about Musetti and also that Bublik is losing. I was hoping to see both of those guys do well.

Bublik in trouble here in the 5th set, down a break at 2-4.

Well Shapovalov is gone in 4 sets and the biggest shocker so far last years Semifinalist # 7 Mussetti went down in 4 sets.

I will email your message to Fritz right away lol! Come on things have in matches, Perricard was hammering down his serve, I mean Fritz had 35 winners and just 5 UFE and was down 2 sets to love
A mark of a good player in my opinion that came come back from being down 2 sets to love

Musetti didnt play any pre grass tournaments I feel his leg wasnt still 100% he has a game for grass,
Munar has been playing good ball of late and is serving at 5-2 in the 5th set, I am not surprised as Bublik is a very streaky player at the best of times

What shall I Rinder is up 4-2 at the changeover. He's 3 pts from sending Zed packing

Huge opportunity missed. If he doesn't crack in the 5th, he might have more chances. It's Zverev he is up against.

Actually the Frenchman should have won in 3 sets, just faltered when he needed, nerves got in the way, in saying that he has played out of his skin at times
Zverev has a tricky draw at best, lets see what happens in the 5th set

I'm honestly not surprised. Pegula always comes up short in the slams, and most of the times to players that were much lower ranked. I'm not sure why people thought it was suddenly going to be different for Jess at 31 years old. Pegula has lost her last 2 matches at the slams to players that were ranked, at the time, 361st and 116th.

This is a new era; or m/b a return to normalcy! We got so spoiled by Fedalovic, Serena, & Swiatek when in the groove avoiding upsets! Winning is not going to be anywhere near as consistent today! The comp. is too tough, the game moves too fast, & injuries piling up due to the rigors of playing even a single match! It's almost unwatchable IMO w/ a player ranked #100 routinely knocking off higher ranked players or benefitting from their weariness or injury! Why else are we seeing the Lost Gen II boys falling like rocks over a cliff! Just 4 yrs. ago I touted Medvedev being the only player w/ the ability to stop Djokovic's CYGS in 2021! Now he's about to drop out of the top 20! Sascha's hanging on by a toenail, in the 5th set vs Rinderknech; now down a break 2-4! :astonished-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::fearful-face::yawningface:

Musetti's loss is an opportunity for Ben Shelton. I hope he doesn't blow it.

To me, the biggest shocker is the way Holger Rune lost. Rune has way too much talent to be blowing 2-set leads to the 143rd ranked player in the world.

Now the French will serve for the match and he even has a shadow as an advantage on the deuce court.
