Novak leads the H2H 8-1

Novak has won the last 6 meetings in straight sets. The most recent encounter was a Montreal QF that Novak won 6-1 6-2. What can Reeshard do to turn the tide?

I voted for Richie in 3, hope to be right but if I'm wrong, it won't be a disgrace for Richie? Nole is N°1 till the end of the week at least !!

Gasquet's only win against Novak is when Djoker was a calf - and since then, he hasn't even stretched a single set to a tiebreak, in 13 sets.

Djoker, straighter than straights...

Nole in straights. He wants to show the new number 1 that he can still beat him. Will he, different story...

Djokovic is a very bad match up for Gasquet. Novak in 2 straightforward sets with Gasquet pinned to the baseline looking puzzled. Haven't been able to catch any of this tournament but looking forward to the final now that the weekend is upon us.

While I am not expecting Gasquet to win, I do want to mention that if he wins,
he surpasses Fed in ATP Race. He becomes #7 and Fed gets pushed down to #8.
Also, he is the only contender who has a chance to surpass Fed this week.
This may give him some extra motivation. But, motivation alone is not enough to win
against Djoker.

So, I will pick Djoker in two sets, one tough and one easy set. But, I am
not going to predict whether the tough set will be the first or the second set.
