I miss the swedes don't you (especially the King)? Found this american tv report (sweden subtitles included) made in 1988 - the year of the sweden grand slam - Wilander wins Australian, French and U S Opens and Edberg his first Wimbly. This includes the King Bjorn Borg and he looks almost unrecognizable with his hair cut short. Enjoy folks...

Sweden has really fallen as a tennis nation - not unlike the US (at least among men). It was quite a drop from Borg-Edberg-Wilander to Enqvist-Bjorkman-Johansson-Norman, and then only Soderling since then. That is somewhat comparable to Connors-McEnroe-Sampras-Agassi to Roddick-Blake-Fish and then Isner-Querrey-Sock. I had some hope in Mikael Ymer, and he has shown glimmers of late, but he'll never be elite.
