Just a memo to Alcaraz,

This is your first meeting with Moutet, quite frankly he should not be in the draw, if Aussie Tristan Schoolgate didnt fall for his limping on court and focused on his own game he should have defeated him in the previous round. Aussie commentators like Todd Woodbridge also had a go at Tristan for losing.
We all know his tricks on court, dont lose your focus Carlos, and play your own game.
Carlito took care of business emphatically. But more than that I think it might end up being a good thing for him. Moutet is rapid around the court, just like Paul. Obviously Paul is on another level for now, but it's good preparation

MCA receving 3 day session matches so only 3 single matches will be played in courts without roofs ( that can be closed in case of extreme conditions).
The new extreme heat rule of course will come into effect
Matches on arena courts including RLA, MC, John Cain Arena will commence at 10.30am.Play on other courts will commence at 10am, gates will open at 9am
Extreme Heat conditions for 24th January in Melbourne
Over 35 degrees expected from 1pm to 8pm, peaking at 39c during the day
The Heat Stress Schedule will be used to determine if play must be halted at any point.

Carlos Alcaraz says his brother, Alvaro, will be taking on a more prominent role on his team alongside Samuel Lopez
" My brother is a very important person in my personal and professional life.He brings me many positive things that I need to perform better and well on the court and in tournaments. Now he's going to take on more prominence alongside Samuel.

Meddy lost the match before it even begun. It almost reminds me of Serena when she said she didn't want to play Andreescu at the 2019 US Open.

Look for Tien to win this one in straight sets.

Musetti can't find his serve, and this one is becoming painful to watch. Machac, however, looks very good.

I picked Machac for the upset over Musetti, he has been on a 'roll' since winning the title in Adelaide I refuse to watch Lorenzo, his serve has been AWOL for sometime

Well, not so fast. Just as soon as I complained, Lorenzo turned things around and won the 2nd set. So, we'll see. Or not, if we don't watch. LOL. I may move on to another match. This one is on my nerves.

Sinner being made to work by some American IDK; Spizzirri! He dropped the 1st set B4 RECOVERING! Gonna be HELL on court! Why not just close the roof? They're giving extended breaks to make up for it! Somebody's gonna drop dead one day & we'll learn not to push it! :astonished-face::angry-face::yawningface::anxious-face-with-sweat:

Update: Now they decide to close the rooves! It looks bad that they're doing it just in time to save Sinner who's limping around w/ bad calf! :angry-face::facepalm:

About Bloody Time AO officials
The roofs on 3 of the courts RLA, MC ,JC Arena now going to shut because of the Extreme Heat Factor reaching level 5
Players can be seriously dehydrated and could collapse in Extreme Heat, and get Heat Stroke also fans can faint and be dehydrated
Play on outside courts have been suspended
