it was on the tennis podcast. They're not certain, but it's what they're hearing. Apparently Sinner wasn't seen practicising on the outside courts yesterday. Doesn't mean he wasn't playing indoorsI find nothing on that. On Friday, during the SF, he did see the trainer for something he felt in the abdominal region, however. But he later said it was nothing to worry about.
Correct Sinner didnt practice on the outside, courts practiced indoors, I watched his warm up via video on Ashe he looked okay, there was a slight concern in his match against Felix with his ab, he did have a MTO off court came back his serve improved he said on court after the match,he wasnt concerned.it was on the tennis podcast. For the record, it's unseasonably cool here today. It rained most of the morning, but it has stopped now, and I don't think it will rain anymore, but folks who pay money for a roof seem to like to use them.I agree with anyone who says 2pm is a lousy time to start. It’s going to be incredibly hot, I imagine. What was a wrong with the old 4pm slot?
There was a storm here yesterday afternoon, which would explain not practicing outside.it was on the tennis podcast. They're not certain, but it's what they're hearing. Apparently Sinner wasn't seen practicising on the outside courts yesterday. Doesn't mean he wasn't playing indoors
Yes, tennis is an international sport, but that doesn't stop the Aussies from airing their finals at 7:30pm which is 3:30am ET in the states. Like you said not everyone will be happy. I always assumed the host slam did things their way because it is their tourney. But the problem with 7pm ET is that it's 1am in Europe, midnight in England. Tennis is an international sport. You can't make everyone happy, but you can make it more convenient for the most viewers. It's one day, and early in the NFL calendar. Folks who really care about both will watch on two screens.
As to the Monday final, it's not just New Yorker's attending in person. People watching at home have to work on Monday, too. You'll never get the same number of eyeballs on a Monday.
It doesn't even look half full, and I expect it to is sold out. They just said that there are loads of people still trying to get in.There are drobes of people standing in line to get in for a match where they were originally scheduled to walk out right now. I still don't think 30 mins is enough time to get all these folks in.
Are we going to have a live chat?you can see the lines on tv. you and I know how large that area is outside Ashe where they are all waiting
I can only do it for 2 hours and I have to leave at 5pmAre we going to have a live chat?
Oh, no worries. We can deal with the thread.I can only do it for 2 hours and I have to leave at 5pm
Me neither. They keep pushing for the closed roof for years now trying to find any small reason to close it.I see the roof is closed, even though it's not raining, and probably won't anymore today. I don't like that.
