Sabalenka leads their H2H 7-2, against Pegula, including the last 3in a row, all on American hard courts
Sabalenka is yet to win a major in 2025, thanks to 3 American players,
Keys, Gauff and Anisimova who upset her in the SF at Wimbledon
Sabalenka will be the favorite, based on her decisive head to head advantage, though could Pegula who played her close like last year in the final in the USO, be the 4th American player to spoil her chances of reaching another final?
Pegula came into the USO with poor form and had a lot of points to defend, to her credit she has found form and has not lost a set on reaching the SF
It makes for an interesting match
Good luck to Aryna and Jessica

Well I picked Aryna to win in 3 sets.
She will have to play better in the final if she wants to win the title

this is why Jess will never win a slam. She's kind of dense like her counterpart Fritz. She had multiple BPs to get back on serve and just couldn't. Saba got the break at the start of the decider and didn't let go.

I'll have to take your word for it as i did not see the first semi. Guess what your alluding to was that Pegula was nervy, playing not to loose, on those BPs, rather than going for winners, is that right?
