Meddy is playing well on the grass, a surface he says he wants to improve on, Chris said a few weeks ago he didnt like grass, but has quickly changed his mind and now says it his favorite surface he has easy power on his bhand, plays serve and volley well.

I think he's a smart and thoughtful guy. He says Medvedev is one of the smartest, trickiest players on tour, and playing him is very much like a chess match, one he's looking to solve today. Could be good!

My thoughts too… Daniil is starting out of the gates at a sprint. Likely the stage itself is enough to distract the American.

It does get challenging when so many must-see matches are being played at the same time.

The question for me is how grumpy or settled Medvedev will get. He's an incredible fighter when on but tempermental, and other than HC all bets are off.

Like with clay, Med may suddenly remember its a “stupid” surface. ; )

Chris has great reflexes on grass for someone a couple of weeks ago said he didnt like grass, he has turned that around quick
