WTA Carlsbad sold to Tokyo

Appears as if Carlsbad (San Diego) tournament has been sold to Tokyo. Another US event (& 1 of my favs) gone

Once again USA losing a tournament, and from West Coast, LA lost their ATP event after last year.

But good that Tokyo can retain a tournament this way. WTA giving Tokyo's Premier 5 to China when they have the Beijing Premier Mandatory right on the next week really sucks.

Actually Japan loses in the sense that they have to switch from a big 56 player event to a normal 32 player premier event.
