I will always wonder what if Seles and Capriati were healthy/available during this time. This should have been their period of dominance, with Seles being 21 and Capriati 19, but circumstances got in the way.

I don't think it would've made a difference. Graf and Novotna both had superior games (including marvellous sliced back-hands) perfectly suited to lawn. That was the era where the courts played faster and by the second week of the championships, the courts would dry up (the area where they would take the first step in order to volley) and develop to a lower, sometime-unpredictable bouncing surface.
