Seriously. My neighbour just told me she has them in her back garden. It's surely only a matter of time before I hear and see the filthy little squeaking ****s.

What's your preferred and proven way of getting rid? Cheese in a mousetrap? An electronic thingy plugged in the wall? My neighbour said she's using this and I'm afraid she'll drive the feckers into here. :snigger

Bear in mind, my macho-man image is cool, I'll strip to the waist like Putin and rassle a mouse on the floor, no problem. It's the missus who's spooked.

Poor old mouse. I'm sure you can get traps that shut behind them, but where do you free a mouse when you gather it in from the trap?.

with one of those and a 'putin on the ritz' style of attack:rolleyes: you can gather in the unwelcome furry friend.

Look and try to find suspect spots where they might find their way in, like pipes going through or whatever, fill them up as best as you can with steel wool (mice hate steel wool, they do not like chewing it because it cuts their gums). The plug in stuff does not work, from my experience. I use traps that are build like a little house with some peanut butter in them. When a mouse gets in, the door shuts, so I do not have to see or handle them when they are dead, I just throw the whole thing out, buy a new one.

Good luck.

I laid out traps for him, but he didn't materialise. It's getting cold now, so I suspect they'll be looking for somewhere warm. I check my neighbours chimney is smoking nicely before I shovel on some coal. :snigger

I'd have no qualms about laying traps that kill them, although I know it's cruel. My wife can be cruel too, when she thinks I'm not dealing with it fast enough...

This is what I do, too. It's effective and no one has to die, or deal with dead bodies.

Will try the steel wool, that sounds like it would drive anyone crazy trying to chew their way in through that. Thanks!

If you get a cat then you can subcontract the problem.

I don't like cats, though. I'd need to get a dog to subcontract the cat! :plot
