It can only get better after wandering the desert for so long; even with the ladies! If we're longing for the days of Roddick, you know we were in trouble for a while! It does look promising, but I'll believe something with come of this talent when titles are actually won! Sock seemed to be on the rise; winning titles and defending them, but like you he'll probably wind up around the 20-30 range! He might be good for an upset of someone, but won't follow it up! My money's on Raonic with a breakthrough which does us little good down here I know! :nono :dodgy: :cover

Sock finished close to the top 20, so he'll probably have a few years in the top 20, and may even dip into the top 10, but won't be a regular there. I see his upside as a solid "third tier" player - the type of guy who is usually seeded at Slams (so top 32) and wins the occasional tournament, even an ATP 500 or two, but probably won't win a Masters and certainly not a Slam.

Fritz seems to be the American with the most upside. I think he'll at least be second tier (top 10, dark horse at Masters and Slams) and maybe even better.

If the rest, I don't see any likely elites but quite a few possible second and third tier players.

I think Sock could be a future world #1... in doubles. Singles? Probably top 20, like you said.

Fritz needs to make the Zverev leap this year to the top 20. The rest (Donaldson, Tiafoe, Escobedo) are probably role players- I can see Tiafoe making the top 20 someday, once he straightens out his forehand.
