Agreed. I never know what will come next -- literary allusion? comical anecdote? classical music metaphor? -- but I can be sure it will be thought-provoking and entertaining. She has a gift for bringing the reader along, into her world. Whether she's standing in line at a bakery, or sitting on a yoga ball, you're there with her, having fun and enjoying tennis.

Very nice read Arienna, it was a bullfight, perfect comparison. Continuinig your train of thought, the bull was gored and wounded in the third set but somehow it managed to remove the spear and destroy the matador with it.

Beautiful piece, Arienna, and I appreciate the evoking of great writers. Hemingway is a great choice for that match. When Rafa stole that 3rd set from Djokovic, it was not so much the bull, but the bullfighter who deftly pulled off that set.
