May I say first playing at Night on RLA does favor Novak and weather out look for Sunday in Melbourne is cool and cloudy with a temp of 20c and with winds up to 30 to 45 km/h an hour., on RLA if the winds get up,it can be swirling and blustering at times. ( though Novak at times struggles in the wind)
I know Alcarax loves playing in the day time, quite frankly at night the ball can be slower and at times it is hard to hit through the court
That could be a 'telling factor in this final'

Cheers to everyone, congrats to Nole for doing Nole things and to Carlos on his first AO final.
I guess at this stage it is all about how well Nole recovers, no? Even on the best of days you have to be close to 100% just to have a chance to beat Carlos. Anything less, Carlos will be just too much to handle, assuming he himself is healthy.
Well, I have not slept in a year so another 3 am start won't hurt. Hoping for a nice battle.

Ugh.
Ugh.
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggh.

I am rooting for an Asteroid to hit Australia (sorry BB and MM), or for both players to be found guilty of doping (with footage of them putting a needle themselves in their own bodies circulating on TikTok), or whatever else can bring eternal and unforgivable shame to the sport of tennis. Oh, and a big fat asterisk on the winners trophy.

Speaking of asterisks, given the walkovers and retirements, I am rooting for Djokovic, as he holds the larger asterisk for now. Given he had other major wins in similar circumstances, my official line from now on would be: "oh, but he won most of his majors just by w.o".

Race winner, but not a champion. Best result was 3rd place in 2010 (he got to the final race still fighting for it).
Mrzz look I will be hit by an Asteriod soon,
BTW I was just reposting from Tennis Australia regarding Mark Webber, maybe you need to take it up with them :)

You will be great on the news as the brave leader of the survivors. Britbox? He will survive, but will be found stealing banknotes from deceased people, and finally brought to justice.

I know it's apples and oranges, but IF Novak won tomorrow he would pass Margaret Court for the most major titles won by any tennis player.

Not only that, he would tie Court's 11 Australian Open titles. It would also be his 102nd career title (one behind Federer), and a record-extending 21st straight season with a title.

It is hard imagining Carlos not winning. Of course I thought Sinner would win, so who knows. But to beat Sinner, Novak "just" had to find his prime form and then use his psychological/experience edge to eek it out. Carlos is different enough in style and demeanor, that I don't think he'll be as phased, and he'll mix it up more. Meaning, Novak can't "out-Novak" him. Carlos can "Roger him," but with a less likely chance of blowing it like Roger did (in 2019).

Carlos in 4, with at least one tiebreaker.

Okay it is 6.00pm and I am heading to RLA for the Mens final which is scheduled to start at 7.30pm local time
It has been a day of light showers and very windy and the current temp is a cool 17 c
Talk later and I will advise if the roof will be open or closed.
