British number 2
Former player for Slovenia, currently not eligible to play Davis Cup for GB
His next appeal on this decision will be after the round 1 tie in March. Aljaz and the LTA are insisting that they had the documents in on time for the rule change (which happened 1st January last year ) but the ITF are insisting they were not. The appeal revolves around trying to currently overturn the rule for Aljaz which is that as he played dead rubbers for Slovenia this means he will never be able to play DC for GB
On the back of this, that could effect his qualification for the Olympics, as they usually state you have to be available for DC in the 2 years leading up to the Olympics.
