Nishikori might take the opening set, but I don't think so. Djokovic will get this done is straight sets.

I think one of the biggest components that makes Novak the great player he is, is the ability to "reset". He's much better at doing that in matches than he was in the early days. Putting bad points behind him quickly and regrouping.

I Think the match between Simon was a wake up call for Novak,I mean 100 UFE unheard of quite frankly
I live Kei's game and he is a great returner, still if he has a chance he has to win in 3 sets.
I am at a Australia Day function,so I will be looking at my mobile phone for the scores.
Novak in 4 sets.

100 unforced errors mean absolutely nothing if you get the win anyway.

it means that you won the important/key/critical points and you won the critical set which was the 5th set in this match.

and that is all that is required in tennis: win the important/key/critical points.

they can have all the rest of the points and they can have all the winners.

a win is all that matters.

Clay Death name me a match where a player has won committing 100 UFE other than Novak's match of course? Come Now,granted winning the critical
points is the main point in any match? we are talking about Novak,Simon had break points in the first set,if he had converted them he would have defeated Novak in 4 sets.Of course in hindsight 'woulda, coulda, shouda, get my drift.Novak was there for the taking, like most French players in the most important points of a match they go AWOL,they have the technique.that is certain, pity their head does not follow suit:) just saying:)

Cheeky little fellow didn't need to open his mouth about beating Djokovic. He's getting bombed off the court and his face looks as though he's about to cry. Time to suck it up and try to make it respectable.

Djokovic has a mini let down after the 8 minute M.T.O. by Nishikori.
