Always liked Belinda Carlise, had a bit of a crush one upon a time, but not seen that much from the Go-gos era. I like it, will check out some more.

I used to like Debbie Harry/Blondie stuff too. They did one of those retro tours down under recently. Cyndi Lauper was playing the same gig. Reports back from a couple of mates who went, were that Debbie's voice is shot... but Cyndi was superb.

They have many good songs, my favourites are Worlds Away and Fading Fast....... Fading Fast is a simple but very very powerful song, at last someone put the demo performed by Charlotte Caffey on youtube which is better than the studio version, i had this too on CD but don't know where.... Charlotte Caffey is a very great and deep artist!!!! she was a massive heroin addict... It's a very dreamy and dark song....

And here's my other fav, Worlds Away..... This one was written by Jane Wiedlin:

They have much more complex songs which are similarly good like Forget That Day.....

Love Blondie and Cyndi too

lol an interesting fact about the Go-go's: the band started off for real after a British tour with Madness... haha they said after that tour they went home to LA like beaten kitties cause they weren't used to the punk audience (their early music was more raw punk than pop) who were throwing even beer bottles at them, Belinda said there was even spittle hanging from her :lulz1::laugh::lol3:

This is the old school black metal i used to be into....The subgenre is not symphonic, obscure or whatever but actually the band members called it "narcotic black metal" Dreamy, spooky stuff, especially the ending part with the ghostly female vocals.....

Haha this music is about meditation and introversion, no technical stuff here.... lol drumming is cute, have to wait minutes for the snare to kick in :lulz1: Enjoy :skull::bat:

I like Little Mix fromUK - best female band right now - latest single No more sad songs:

And from same album their #1 from november 2016 for which they got a Brit Awards for best single in 2016

Just finished their tour with Ariane Grande and has just started their own Glory Days tour which goes around the world and ends up in UK and Ireland in October and November - where it's sold out

Their second single from Glory days came out in January - Touch:

And a couple of their acoustic performances - here Love on the brain cover:

And here from the Live Lounge on the BBC a Whitney Houston cover with a choir:

And yes they can all sing

Actually Scooter of all bands did a great cover of Stripped. Quite a far cry from the band's normal stuff!

No fan of the original version of this song but my bro told me to check out this remix and it's great. Best part is from 1:38 onwards.

Haha cool music, sounded like a more technical version of early SOAD, i expected the singer was gonna scream something like "They try to build a prison" :lulz1:

Lombardo is one of my favs, i'm a big Slayer/Morbid Angel fan....

The only thing i didn't like about him is his approach to playing in slayer, we all know Kerry is a douche but Slayer is his life.... he would play in that band for free. If any passionate metal fan had the chance to play in Slayer he surely wouldn't sherlock about the financial side, i'm sure though Lombardo got enough money even if they were ripped off by the hollywood guys getting facials :lulz1: <- he said in an interview he didn't want to play to make people like that rich haha..... But ofc he had his own projects and stuff so he didn't really need slayer but then why go back to play with them again?

Kerry King (I always preferred Hanneman btw, the more instinctive songwriter of the band, just like most metal fans) said that Slayer stayed so cool because they made music like big kids, and he also said there's no need to grow up... I like his approach to art a lot....... It's art, no need to grow up, no need to go with the new trends, if you want to stay in the 80s just stay in the 80s or just do whatever you like....

Don't know if you like Morbid Angel, Formulas and Gateways were my fav albums..

I bought their remastered discography not long ago again :D

I also have big Trey posters, i love this one:

Miss collecting the metal magazins like Metal Hammer, and watching Headbangers Ball... Those were the times :D

Lately listening to lots of Dalriada, very good band, their drummer never left his extreme metal roots so the drumming is always excellent...

in this song there's hard rock, gothic metal, folk, black metal, the mid tempo headbanging parts are heavy as fuck :

Here they are at Sziget Festival on the Headbangers Stage:

Cool. Must listen later as I have to run to work but I'll leave you with this blast from the past! Best fusion of techno/industrial/metal I've heard.

And this one too.

The riffs in Martyr sound a lot like Morbid Angel, that album is their best imo.....

Not a big fan of industrial but Fear Factory is a great band and much more versatile than, let's say Static-X, there were some good songs on the Obsolete album too like Freedom or Fire, here's a good drum cover of that song:

I wonder if BB knows this band:

and back to metal :p

Do you guys know Mithras? it's an English death metal band, i know tons of gossips about the Nile vs Mithras band and fanwar, i was in he middle of it actually, also in the middle of the Morbid Angel vs Nile tardwars :lulz1: I fought a lot with Mithras' temporary bassist/vocalist Sam Bean (he's an aussie) lol those were epic times......

They don't have too many albums btw but don't let that deceive you, they are a real cult band, very influential and powerful band... This is Mithras:

lol btw one of the the reasons for the war between Mithras and Nile was that the Mithras members said Nile's egyptian scales are not authentic and they are a hollywood band.....

Nice! Hadn't heard Mithras before. Very brutal. To be honest I haven't listened to death or black metal in ages so it was a nice refreshing change. Need a bit of noise to blown off steam every so often! Much lighter obviously but Paradise Lost are probably my favourite band. Favourite metal band anyway. In terms of industrial/ebm it'd have to be Front Line Assembly and well, Front242 obviously :)

This version of Angriff is an edit unfortunately. Full version is much better. Class riffs though.

In the mood for old school death metal tonight. Here are 3 classics. Vicious guitars and drumming in Atrocity - Blood Stained Prophecy.

Thanks, didn't know Front Line Assembly, sounds great, will listen to more of their songs.....

I know Paradise Lost, ofc i got into them when the Gothic album came out but i got their death doom album, omg Deadly Inner Sense and the rest of those songs are insane!!!!

Samael is a great band, i'm more into their black metal side but their industrial stuff is good too.

From old school death metal the finnish bands are excellent:

Very very talented band, later they went thrash though (wtf????)

When Amorphis was still good:

And this unique cult band:

and Slugathor, the riffs in the slow second part are excellent, very cryptic atmosphere:
