Novak Djokovic has been there and done that. He has 7 Wimbledon titles, and has been to the last 6 Wimbledon finals.

Meanwhile, Jannik Sinner is trying to break through at Wimbledon. He has won pretty much everywhere but here.

I voted Sinner in three, but they will be hard-fought. I can also see Sinner or Novak in four. Something like, from most to least likely:

30% Sinner in 3
25% Sinner in 4
15% Novak in 4
15% Novak in 5
10% Sinner in 5
5% Novak in 3

So Sinner to win, 65%.

Jannik Sinner becomes the youngest player to reach the SFs in four consecutive GS Mens Single events since Nadal in 2009

Prob., the most likely, but can always hope something huge might happen! That's why they call it an upset! Jannik's lost to Novak on grass twice!

This reminds me a lot of the 2012 Wimbledon semifinal between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Federer was seen as an aging star, who had not won a slam in 2.5 years, while a 25-year-old Djokovic (who was not yet the unflappable force at Wimbledon) was ranked #1 in the world and widely seen as the favorite. That day, Federer gave Djokovic a tennis lesson, winning in 4 sets.

On Friday, Djokovic will return the favor (as the aging veteran) and hand Sinner (the much younger #1 ranked player) a tennis lesson. Djokovic has a vintage performance, winning in 4 sets.

As I said, Sinner will win Wimbledon one day, and earn his place in the Top 10 of the GOAT list. It's just not going to be this time.

Your crystal ball is working over time I see? lol!
BTW can you please put up a poll for Alcaraz v Fritz, as Novak v Sinner arent the only players in the SF

I will post these comments from Ben Shelton after his match against Sinner,
"His ball speed is really high.Never seen anything like it when your're going through the draw.
"When you play him, its almost like things are in ( two times ) speed. I'm usually good at adjusting to that speed.
"Its difficult when a guys hitting the big and consistently off both wings, and serving the way he is".

People are way overconfident on Sinner, and act as if it's impossible for him to lose a tennis match. It's like the final 3 sets of the French Open final, the Bublik match at Halle, or the Dimitrov match never even happened to them. I've seen Sinner play bad and that can last for sets at a time. I've seen Novak play bad for a set, but he seems to be able to correct it by the next set.

All I have to say is that Sinner better win this in 3 or 4. Because if it goes 5, there is no way Djokovic is going to lose, especially at this place. Remember, Djokovic has been there and done that many times over. Sinner has not, at least at Wimbledon. Djokovic also has the best track record in matches that go 5 sets. I believe he is 40-11 in such matches.

If Novak had been more convincing today against Cobolli, and Sinner still looked compromised, physically, I'd give Novak a shot. But the h2h is trending in Sinner's direction, including at Majors, and at the business end of them. I'll give him a set, though. I went Sinner in 4.

Sinner has been pretty consistently good for rather a long time, though. He is #1 for a reason. OK, 2 days ago, not so much, when he fell and hurt his elbow, but when was the last time you thought he played poorly for long stretches in a match, or tournament?

You have said that Novak has "been there, done that," a few times. He's also 38, and playing a man who seems to have his number. I don't think there's such a thing as being "way overconfident" about Sinner. He's incredibly consistent. He inspires convidence. Maximum I will give you is that some, or at least I, have lost confidence in Novak to beat the top two. Sometimes just how long you have "been there, done that" begins to be a negative factor.

Voted Djokovic in 4 but 3 wouldn't surprise me. If it goes to 4, I suspect it'll be the 3rd set walkabout we see often in tennis.

Expecting both to be pumped full of chemicals for this one with what's at stake. They didn't get the memo below.

Sinner in 5 sets feeling a epic match is about to happen. It's also better for the tournament if sinner wins, as Djokovic won't last long against Carlos!.

I voted Novak in 5. Surely Sinner is a better player right now, but Novak's game on grass is hopefully good enough to overcome Sinner. RG match was closer than the result says, if it went to 4th maybe it would go to 5th too.

Novak needs to play big points better and be less nervy in those moments. In their last match his return was not good, but now it MUST make more damage on Sinner's serve.

Who wins on grass between 2012 Djokovic and 2025 Sinner?

How about 2012 Djokovic vs. current Djokovic?
