Murray is ready to win Roland Garros now. Federer does not look fully fit and Wawrinka's form seems to have disappeared. Ideally would like Djokovic, Nadal and Federer to be in same half of draw.
Murray has worked incredibly hard and I would be delighted for him to win either RG or Wimbledon this year

Nice win for Andy today. I went out when he got the break in the 2nd, but sort of expected to see a 3rd when I got back, but it was over. It must put in the top 3 contenders at RG with Novak and Rafa. He'll be my 2nd choice for the FO title, natch, but I'll pick him for Wimbledon.

I think he will win a GS singles title this year

I hope so. I'll be a bit sorry when it comes after Amelie, because it would have put paid to the neigh-sayers who criticized him for taking a female coach. But I'll be pulling for him, anyway.

Tell you what I would really like to see happen this year, a woman umpire given the men's singles final at Wimbledon
Eva Asderaki Moore would be a great choice

Yes, why not? I like her, too. She has been the chair for men's matches over the last few years.

She is strong enough to handle it. Remember how she dealt with Nadal at Australian Open

I don't, specifically, but I think she's a tough umpire. Authoritative and decisive.

Don't be, it's good for Murray that he's won a title right after the split.... better to be on his own than with Amelie no?:dance2: But in any case, it's a MS not a slam.

You missed the point of that conversation.

It's a nice win for Andy, but I wouldn't give him RG trophy just yet. I still think that the favorites are 1. Nole 2. Rafa 3. Andy. He has to make a final there and it won't be easy. Unless he has more than kind draw. But I don't think it will be easy for anybody, frankly.

I was just glad that it was over and that Nole escaped Rome without injuring himself even more. I think it was the perfect clay court season for him, not too many matches, some good matches and by not winning everything the pressure is a little bit off. To risk anything so close to RG while he was so unhappy with the court and the conditions to win another Rome title would be foolish. He did tie Roger and Rafa with 42 masters 1000 career finals, so a little bit of history for him as well as Andy. :yahoo:
