Unfortunately, the energizer bunny will win this one in four sets.

Bad match-up for Gasquet. It doesn't help that he's notorious for poor fitness and he's coming off a near 5-hour match, playing a bull like Ferrer. I'd like to see Richard win since his game is much more appealing but I really don't see it happening.

yep again..RG will have to step out side of his box to beat this baselining Devil ,,,,Ferrer will force RG to overhit by his backboard like defense.. I hope that I am wrong as usual

Ferrer in straights. I don't think Gasquet will have even a slither of the energy he would need to beat Ferrer. And then there's everything else he would need.

I don't believe in polls where people don't vote realistically or what's the point. Ferrer in straights. There are 2 chances of Gasquet winning: none and f**k all.

Ferret in three, four if he's having a bad day or Gasquet is playing exceptionally well.

I don't think Ferrer has looked as reliable as usual since RG. He may be getting tired, or lacking some focus, but I think Gasquet will be pumped up. Still, I picked Ferrer in 4.

I'll pick the upset here. Gasquet in 4 or 5 (Or Gasket as my mother is fond of calling him). Yes, there is no logic whatsoever to it and if anything, goes against the grain in every imaginable course. Richard would be weary after scarcely surviving Raonic previously. Furthermore, Gasquet is not known for his incredible determination and stamina in such long-winded matches as I am predicting whilst this sort of thing falls right into Ferrer's bread basket, if you will. There is just no explaining it. That's why it will happen!

Exactly. Honestly, I can't believe he outlasted Raonic the other day. He must be thinking about trying to get to the WTF, and the help of achieving that goal with the added points at a GS. He's currently in 10th place. I think he's trying to make a run to get into 8th place.

Great to see you around! Smile

It was quite surprising wasn't it? After reading one of Moxie's translations (wonderfully done too) I tend to agree with Uncle Toni insomuch people over hype the 'beauty' aspect of the sport instead of evaluating everything -- physical stamina chief amongst them in regards to Gasquet's talent and future prognostications. I just have a gut feeling he's going to do something mighty interesting with Ferrer. No sense in it though!

That could very well come to pass. I seem to recall the last WTF he was in being highly interesting with the likes of Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, Roddick, and others. It could happen!

Good to see you again as well old friend!

Pulling for Gasquet, but won't be too terribly upset when Ferrer wins. I'll give Gasquet a set. Looking forward to some nice, long rallies.

Gasquet wins the opening set. Closes it with a beautiful down the line backhand winner. Is this really going to happen? Ferrer looks a bit off. Maybe he wants to avoid worsening his h2h with Nadal Wink

That was a great DTL backhand. Worked so perfectly after the previous BHs which kept moving Ferrer to the side.
