Davenport had slow feet but she had great anticipation..Madison has nothing against the better players.. Tossip I learned my lesson, this girl has not learn a damn thing

Davenport and Sharapova both learned their strokes from Lansdorf. That's why their strokes are grade A. Madison doesn't have the same level of consistency because her stroke isn't the same. If she wants to emulate Maria and Lindsay so much, she needs to follow the same recipe and get him as a consultant or stroke coach.
Snicker...she should ask her crush pova to help her with hitting hard harder hardest

Her footwork needs to be better..she needs to hire Tossip favorite guy, Sacha

That's a tough loss for Caroline after winning the 1st set. I didn't see the 2nd and 3rd sets. What happened Hoergren? Venus probably did as well as she could considering she's not 100%. Probably should've been out in the 2nd round, but just wouldn't stop fighting. I agree GSM, really dull set of matches. Sveta is probably the only one w/ some flair in that bunch and her flair is rather muted.

Well what happened - she met a player who was better on the day - that's the easy answer. If you look at the stats the story is a bit different. Just a look at the first serve % 1.set Caroline best, 2. Mladenovic an inch better and 3. Mladenovic as dominant as Caroline in the first. Second set is the key because Caro didn't use the possibilities to break or win points and it goes together with something they (hitting partner, piotr and Caroline) are trying to make better: Netplay - she wins more times at the net, serve - normal with 4-5 aces in each match and aggression - she varies her shots more often from soft to hard - and it gives faults for the moment. She's still on her way to the top and I think Sascha Bajin is doing something right and they look to be confident about what they're doing. So a bit of luck, and fewer errors could have given the match to Caroline - but Mladenovic was good, so don't take anything away from her. Caroline is now #13 in the rankings and #5 on the race list (can be set back depending on the semi finals). Next stop Miami - looking forward to that. Ok?

Venus matches was good regardless how much the lack of pace she took out of her serves. Did Venus explain why she served that way

Not really. I think in one of her pressers she was asked about slow starts and she mentioned it takes time for her to warm up.

Venus's second serves were in the range of 60 to 75 mph. I don't know what is the reason. Even the likes of Vesnina were having a kill at them.

Did swiss miss dump Coco for good or is this just a one-time partnership with Siniakova?

According to an article in FOX coco and Martina has ended for good - and it's not Siniakova but Yung-Jan Chan she's teaming with now:

Coco - Hingis split

Hingis will dump you if you are not a compliment to the way she plays..I thought CoCo was too much like Lisicki ..not great hands at the net and not a great mover..Only Mirza was dumped because off the court incompatibility.....

My dream is one day I can play mixed doubles BasiateHeart with Swiss MissAngel
