This is very interesting, the longest tiebreaks of the tennis history
Though it would have to add Delpo-Federer in London Olympics 2012 17-19 and Murray- Kohlsch Dubai 2017 20-18

Would you look at that, Fedalovic and Del Potro all in the same quarter...

I am questioning the decision to award Fratangelo with a WC instead of Donaldson or Escobedo

This is easily the toughest quarter I can remember in a Masters 1000.

I just looked at the draw, the bottom half is what I called a "hell" draw. That what is I called a gauntlet...

Finally, I am able to predict that there will be at most two members of big four in the semifinals. Smile

Most brutal draw for Novak, starting with R3. Not much relief for Rafa/Fed either. Rafa gets Verdasco in R3, a potential tough customer. Roger at least seems to have couple of easy rounds in Dudi and Johnson.

Novak's path.

R1. Bye
R2. Kyle Edmund
R3 JMDP
R4 Zverev/Kyrgios
QF Fedal
SF Cilic/Kei
F Murray

And the way Novak is playing right now with his mental state of mind, he literally can lose to anyone.

There are 4 GS winners in the bottom quarter and they together have won 45 GSs.

There are 3 GS winners in the other three quarters put together and they together have won 7 GSs.

I noticed; believe me! I was saying here and elsewhere, Nole's got a lot of hurdles in his path trying to go for the "double" Masters of IW/Miami for the 4th year in a row! I'll be happy enough if he wins 1 and makes semi of the other! It's gonna be tough! No No Angel Dodgy Cover

Roger has easy path through to round of 16 and that's where we could have another Fedal match. The possibility of a match with Djokovic lurks in the quarters but Kyrgios stands in Nole's path again. But, if Federer does have to face Rafa and Djokovic in consecutive rounds, I can't imagine many scenarios that are tougher than this. And then, there are two more matches to play.

Roger's main hindrance is the surface really. Unfortunately, this is not like Rod Laver Arena.Sad And the draw is not forgiving either. Anyway, hoping for the best for him.

I would expect if we get an American Fedal , Rafa has got to play more aggressively..bigger serves and some first striker tennis or Roger may crucify his Spanish butt
