For whatever reason she doesn't like them (which is her right, but at least be honest about it. Don't come here w/ this crap about ball bashers and then root for Coco, Garbine and Kvitova who are some of the most inconsistent bashers on the planet) and roots against them no matter who their opponent is.

I love Henin, Hingis, Schiavone, it has to do with style...and Kvitova is everything but a ball basher !!!
you've the right to love the sisters I have the right to dislike them OK ??

Freedom summed it up perfectly, but let me make it plain so you'll understand.

I said you have the right to dislike them. I was calling you out on your dishonesty. You can't say you don't like them for being ball bashers but then turn around and root for other bashers and not expect some backlash. If you don't like them, fine. You could just say you don't like a player and not have to offer up a reason, but you did. So don't be surprised if someone calls you out on your posts. Afterfall, this is a message board.

I can't see where is my dishonesty, it's a message board as you say, you like the sisiters ? OK you don't think they're ball bashers OK, I disagree that's all
there's no good taste or bad taste in tennis, it's not a crime to like or dislike a player and give reasons why. for me the sisters are ball bashers, I will never like them and I'm not ashamed about it
I regret not to see Hingis's style anymore

I didn't see it and saw the brief highlights on ESPN. Too bad it wasn't an "epic" final.

I agree. Too bad it wasn't a really good match. Both were nervous and tight in the beginning and there were many errors. You could tell Vee just couldn't muster enough strength to play like she did in the SF. But big props to Serena for overcoming the nerves and tightness to get the job done where she had trouble w/ nerves before.

For someone who doesn't like them, you sure have spent a whole lot of time in this thread that's all about them. Anyway, never mind. I'm done talking about this Isabelle and this is my last post about the subject. You can't see it because you don't want to. Fine. By the way, I never said the Williams weren't ball bashers. That wasn't the premise behind my original comment to you. Don't believe it, go back and really read my previous posts in this thread.

As a Steffi Graf fan, it pains me to say this, but it is getting very hard to look past Serena for GOAT ...

Isabelle, you are self un-aware. Your rooting for Coco upends the belief you operate in good faith. A fact you cannot deny.

I think most wouldn't care if either never win anything else just so long as that POS Sharapova doesn't win anything big either once she returns. Hoping all the ladies express their utter disgust by wiping the floor with her whenever they play.

The game has changed and this didn't happen yesterday. This occurred during the 2nd era of Jennifer Cap. If you recalled Hingis was on top of the world beating players like Seles to a pulp. Then came the sisters and the drug addict Jenny C. Reference the AO final where Hingis battle Jenny C in the extreme heat of AO. Hingis was never the same afterwards. The girls got bigger(Davenport, the William sisters and others).. Henin was the only one who had the proper counters for the "big babe " tennis. Later the Sharapova era came with all the changes in racket technology and etc. The game has changed and as much as I regret to say, Hingis game could never surface properly in today's style of play. You should give Serena credit for being able to be able to survive and her legendary perseverance.

I'm sad I missed this, I made it almost to 2:30 AM lol. All the days of staying up almost all night finally caught up. Really hope Venus can get to the Wimbledon or US Open Final and not meet Serena again. Smile

I didn't bother to stay up to see this match live. However, I watched the encore presentation in ESPN2 at 9 A.M. this morning. As I hate watching matches for which I knew the results, I hid myself in a bubble and so watched it in "live for me, but delayed" mode.

I was not impressed by the match at all. But, I am glad that Vee had come back to this level at this age and in her condition.

Congratulations to Serena on becoming the open era Goatess! ClapClapClap

No, I don't consider Court as the Goatess of all time. But, I do consider HWM as the Goatess of all time. See my logic on the Goatess thread, which I will bump up soon.

so Venus and Serena made total $4 000 000...in less than a month..I think they are working for the money they invested in UFC..they did the same thing when they invested in the Dolphins and recovered their 10mil investment..well done ladies..
