You're welcome.

For the first time, on tomorrow's schedule I labelled each match to make it (hopefully) easier to run through visually, and pick out men's, women's, doubles, etc.

Youzhny up 2 sets on Troicki
Verdasco same on Gulbis
Kubot same on Paire
Seppi and Nishikori splits at 1:1

In one way I'm in shock as Gulbis is so inconsistent but in another way I'm saying huh? Verdasco doing well on grass? Against a big server/big hitter like Gulbis? Disgusted tbh. Wanted to see Gulbis move on a bit here. If you're a Verdasco fan though it's encouraging that he's at least won a few back to back matches this year.

Also Monaco lost the first set to De Schepper

Verdasco was twice in 4R at Wimbledon before, while Gulbis already is for the first time as far as 3R.
It might not be as much of a difference, but still counts.

Edit: I am wwatching the match and Fernando is mixing up well his serve and keeps Gulbis off balance and getting lots of freebies on serve.

And Fernando with the break in the 3Rd!Clap

I'm actually watching Fed v Stakhovsky here start to finish as I missed it. Some incredible display of S&V.

Firstly, it's the battle of the head-cases. But also, Verdasco has been having a good tournament, according to Brad Gilbert, and anyway you'd be wrong to lump him in with Spanish clay courters. He's more of a HC man, and he has a serve, when he can find it, so grass can suit.

¡Vamos, Fernando! He looks to take it in straights. Also, Paire is down two sets to Kubot, and Seppi and Nishikori have split the first two, on-serve in the 3rd. I picked Seppi here, as I thought Nishikori had injury issues of late. We'll see.

I'm more disgusted than surprised really Wink Wanted Gulbis to move on but doubt it's happening now. And yeah I never considered Verdasco in the league as the other Spanish clay courters. He's shown how good he can be on hardcourt with results like AO '09. Just can't recall him being much good on grass. Two headcases though as you say and that means they have potential to be very good or very bad on most surfaces.

Good lord, there is a realistic chance we will get to see an All-Polish-QF between J.J. and Kubot. Incredible. My mother (half polish half french) will shed a few tears that's for sure. This Wimbledon is crazy, you know what, it would be just fitting if Murray wins the trophy and breakes the curse of British players at Wimbledon. This year's tournament is a once in a decade freak occurrence. Either way, this W will be remembered for years.

ClapClapClap

Doing the happy dance
Verdasco - Gulbis 6-2, 6-4, 6-4.

D. Cahill who worked many times with Fernando gave me a clue about his slump, he has changed rackets for $$ despite Darren's advise not to and he had struggled with in in consequence.
Fernando will go back to clay to rebuild his ranking following Wimbledon, I am glad he still has goals.
But let's focus now on Wimby, he has not a bad looking draw and he might just have a good chance to get for the first time into the QF here.

Lukas Kubot does the happy dance himself, sort of a can-canLay Down Laughing
ClapClap

This is not much of a surprise for me, he's been in the 4R before.

Again the veterans show the younger one's how they need to play!

Poland might become a Davis cup force.

Misha breaks Viktor with a beautiful BH pass and will serve for the match

The gods will really be giving hints to murray if he gets monaco in the wimbledon quarterfinal. Talk about canon fodder.

A total doddle of a match alright. While we've seen many upsets this one this has no potential for any upset. Monaco just has no weapons for this surface. Good for him to get this far in any case.

Probably the most unknown player of all De Schepper (France) eliminates Monaco in straight sets.
He is a giant wth a big serve, ranked 80, just broke into the top 100 a month ago and he is 26y old.

He will play Fernando next, I hope Verdasco plays well and gets a first QF here.

Nice. Only seen his name and never watched him play. So far none of today's matches interest me so still watching Federer v Stakhovsky here. Fed's error filled game at 5-5 3rd set to drop serve was terrible. Stakhovsky played a class match but that was one extremely poor service game by Roger. Really hope he watches the replay and takes some note of Melzer's comments that he returns better than Federer. He does, it's no lie and I hope Roger takes note and works hard on it to improve. Melzer is actually older so it's not age related to reaction speed, but the micro second drop in reaction speed is what's making Fed's ROS poor. Either that or his eyesight isn't what it was and hand to eye coordination is slightly off. BH shank cost him set point in set 2 and a terrible service game at 5-5 in set 3 cost him a break and the set.

Kei and Andreas Seppi go the distance, Andreas is a strong dude, I think this is in his advantage.
Meanwhile Richie and Bernie locked in the first set TB

Man, what a crazy tournament.

Bernard Tomic looks pretty good against Gasquet.

While I'm a bit disappointed that Paire lost, I'm glad that it opens up the draw for Janowicz--if he can make it past Melzer and, more easily, Kubot or Mannarino--to make it to the SF.

If I'm Andy Murray I'd take Mikhail Youzhny very seriously. Mikhail has in some ways been one of the underrated players of the Federer generation. He was ranked 7 or 8 at one point, I think, and make it to a SF or two.

Watching Tomic play Gasquet. The Aussie looks so effortless when he plays. Love the way he mixes things up.
