I'm most excited to see what Sloane does with her opportunity and if Kvitova can deal with the pressure of being the bottom half front runner. I hope both can keep it together. Sloane seemed to be the kind of player who thrived on rising confidence after some good performances, that being before the AO. Kvitova, as we all know, has so many upsides. I just hope she keeps it together.

Matches I am looking forward to watching
Kvitova v Makarova......this could be a car crash waiting to happen for Petra.I hope she can keep herself together in this match.
Kerber v Kanepi......if Kanepi can play first strike tennis in this match she could cause a upset.
Carla Suarez Navarro v Eugine Bouchard......actually I dont mind Bouchard in this match up she can play on grass.

I do so love watching Robson and Bouchard play, two young talented players.

This Kerber/Kanepi match has turned into a battle royale. 6-6 in the 2nd set breaker, Angie up a set

Kanepi takes the 2nd set breaker and goes up a break in the decider 2-0

Kerber falls. #7 seed gone. That leaves us with 4 of the top 10 seeds. Kvitova will play Makarova later in the day. Makarova can definitely win that match if she's on top of her game. Even if Kvitova isn't inconsistent and plays well, if Makarova is on top of her game as well, it could go to either woman. But I do imagine that Kvitova will win. I do think she wants to take advantage of the fact that Maria and Vika are gone. Her serve is stronger than Makarova's. So she'll want to use that to her advantage. I'm just not sure she can rely on that alone. I want Kvitova to win. But, I also like Makarova. So I'll be happy for her if she wins as well.

Kerber has a good game, but the ability to forget the last disappointing game or set isn't yet well-developed as far as I can see. I thought she was going to burst into a full set of tears a couple times during that 3rd set..and it's something I've seen with her before. Hopefully it's something she can improve in the future.
Also hoping for a steady match from Kvitova, but worried about Makarova who might run away with the match if she gets the 2nd set.

Watch out for Alize, she is playing some of the best Tennis of her career, she just handed Flavia a bagel!

Genie and Carla are playing, so is Marion and Camila.

Lets go youngsters!

Riske took down U-Rad

Tired to watch a little of the Bartoli match....really difficult with all the bouncing and phantom swings and constant looks at her box. Very distracting.....

RE: Wimbledon Day 5: Friday, June 28 - Order of Play
Really surprised Cornet lost after bagelling Panetta. But, Panetta is no push over. She's been down lately, and therefore down in the rankings. But she's a former top 20 or top 15 player. Maybe even top 10. I can't remember. But she's not wonderful on grass. So I wasn't surprised she lost the first set, though the bagel was a bit surprising. Great job by her to come back. And another seed, though a low one, #29 goes down.

Suarez Navarro did beat Bouchard though. Bouchard was just too inconsistent. She was going to for crazy winners at the wrong times. Too many errors. She's young. She'll learn from it. So Suarez Navarro is the 19 seed. And Flipkens the 20 seed beat the young Dolonc.

Seeing as the round of 32 is where seeds are supposed to start playing each other, the fourth round will not have some of the seeds that did make it to the third round. Kvitova or Makarova has to lose.

In the top half you've got Li v Zakopalova and Vinci v Cibulkova. As well as Lisicki v Stosur who are playing for a chance to play Serena. Well... technically Serena has to be Date-Krumm. But.... does anyone think she won't, even in this crazy Wimbledon.

So the most seeds we can have in the fourth round is 10. 10 of the 32. Crazy week. And of course, there's no guarantee that will happen. Stephens is down a break in her suspended match with Cetkovska. It does appear that Bartoli will win her match. And if she does win, with 2 seeds already through, and 4 matches that are between 2 seeds, we're guaranteed 7 seeds in the fourth round. Assuming Serena will win, that will be 8. The other 2 seeds would be Radwanska and Stephens.

It appears play is suspended because of rain. It's just light rain. But enough that the players can't play in it.

Media hasn't focused at all on Stosur or Li...might be a surprise lurking.

I have never seen such disrespect for no.1 player like this...Joko is playing all his matches under the roof and SERENA gets to play last with all these rain delays. They let Stosur and Lisicki play early just like they did at USA Open 11
