Wow, every other court looks more appealing than Central. All interesting you can possibly see on the Central court is if Meyer makes a match because No1e didn't play any grass ones, except for the exo with DiMitrov. Though Mandy Minella is must see if you are a man.

^ yes, but Djokovic will be on his guard. He easily dismissed him last year. 3 - 0 H2H: http://www.atpworldtour.com/Players/Head...2&oId=D643

Querrey - Tomic might be fun btw.

All the Boodles matches are available on youtube so if you have some spare time I recommend you No1e vs DiMitrov match to watch. It was spectacular with so many amazing shots and points + some first class entertainment from both current and future #1.

Querrey and Bernie seem to playing a tight one. Tomic took the first TB 8-6, and now they're on serve half-way through the second.

Yeah, happy to see Blake winning so comfortably. I know this is ATP but on the subject of veterans playing well, it's incredible to see Date-Krumm winning 6-0 6-2 (!) against an 18 year old. Well, against anyone really. She's 42 now.

Although initially I was displeased that Novak got the highest unseeded payer in R1, Mayer also being 2 times QF here, now I am more content that he has the opportunity to play a good player to get his grass game going.
Already good rallies with a lot of variety of shots. This will benefit him for the potential subsequent rounds, as he had only one exho match warm-up coming into the grass slam.

He will get used to the slice, that's for sure.

Djokovic breaks just when needed, serving for the second now. that one seems to have been closer, with quality stats on both sides.

i'd last checked the score when he was up by two sets, so i was a bit surprised when they headed to the fifth. nice to see Bernie go through. i think this one ending up a little tougher might be good for him.

RE: Wimbledon Day 2: Tuesday, June 25 - Order of Play
Well Harrison won a set off Chardy. But Chardy was the better player over all. His forehand did most of the work. Harrison's return continues to disappoint. Harrison saved a bunch of break points today, but that's because he either gave Chardy or Chardy was able to create a bunch of break points. And in the end, Chardy got the breaks anyways at the end of the 3rd set and midway through the 4th and then again to win the match after it was really already over.
That's the match I watched this morning. It was entertaining. But disappointing. Not that I'm a huge fan of Harrison. But, I'm not a fan of Chardy either, so I was rooting for the American. One surprising thing I found out today is that Chardy is actually only like 26. He's been around since 2006ish. And to me he just looks old. I thought he was over 30. I thought he was a late bloomer back in 2007 or 2008. But he was just 20 to 21 back then. Looks so old. Just one of those faces I guess.

Quite annoyed to see that Tomic won. Querrey should have been able to win those tiebreaks. Or at least the first I felt like. Querrey continues to disappoint. Always so inconsistent. But mostly I just hate Tomic. Sadly, he'll probably make the 3rd round because as much as I love James Blake, at his age, I don't see him beating Tomic. If Thiemo de Bakker was still playing like he was 2 years ago, I don't think Blake would have beaten him today. But, de Bakker has just completely disappeared since his break through a couple years back. Who knows, maybe the old man won't feel old tomorrow and can pull something out of the hat.

Novak is already on the easier side of the draw. What more do you want, them to just hand the trophy to him? :snigger

Did you not just learned anything from yesterday? All of them have to play 7 matches against 7 opponents if they want to win it all. It is not just , oh great, the other 3 favorites are on the other side so I could sleepwalkthrough in my first 6 matches.

Don't worry herios, he will be very focussed and pull through to the finals. He knows he needs to take it one step at a time. The thing with the draw is that if Roger would have ended up in his draw even if he would have been focussed it would be a very very tough match with no certainty of winning (which is the case with most other players). So in that sense it's nice that he avoided Roger. Haas and Berdych will be difficult, but slightly less tough than Federer IMO.

Yes no one can sleepwalk through first 6 matches and Mayer was an excellent opponent unusually good for the first round and much better than Hanescu, I don't see any problems with that.

Playing Mayer was great for Novak. With no previous tournament play on the green stuff, Flo, made him work on everything out there.

No one said anything about sleepwalking through the draw. But Novak had exho prep on the grass and I was sure he would be focused and calm when he played today and he was. Nadal was the opposite. He looked unfocused, aggravated and unprepared to play on this surface.
