2015-16 NBA Regular Season
The new basketball season is getting ready to start! If you follow the NBA, who do you guys root for? Sadly I am an Orlando Magic fan. Things have been miserable ever since the Dwightmare Saga of 2011-12. We have a new coach in Scott Skiles and a very young team so probably no playoffs yet. Would actually be nice to get to 30 wins for the first time in four years. I'll root for two things, the Magic to show some improvement and for the Houston Rockets to fail so that Dwightmare will never have the pleasure of putting on a championship ring.

The Magic start off badly, losing their first three before surprising yesterday with a win over the Hornicans at New Orleans. Now today, they go into Houston and face Dwightmare. Would love to see them smear his what's-left-of-it dignity on the court and leave with a win. Go Magic.

Sorry, my mistake. Dwightmare has no dignity left. Cool

I was going to ask: Which one happens first, a Sixers win or a GSW loss, but I just saw Sixers beat Lakers...

There was a question about this in the mail bag John Wirthiem today. Kobe and Tiger etc are struggling terribly after being at the top once upon a time. In tennis, it is very rare to find someone who has gone to such abysmal position after being at the top. Usually, they retire much before they find the nadir.

Why do the idiotic press folks keep asking Fed when he wants to retire?

I guess they need something to report on so why not continually ask the same silly questions.

Nope. It's not. Celts had a really good chance last night, but let it get to OT and that's all she wrote. But the lowly Bucks take down the champs and end the Warriors 24-0 streak. Clap

Bucks out shot them from the 3pt line. Both teams were performing a back-to-back but the Bucks just shot better

RE: 2015-16 NBA Regular Season
I was at the game! Very exciting to say the least. The Bucks moved the ball better than normal and were on fire from the three point line. It was a game of runs, Bucks would lead by ten and GS would come back. Just ended up being a case where the Bucks made the last big run of the game. Needless to say the Warriors looked like a team that played double overtime the night before. I was hoping it might spring the Bucks onto better things but they followed it up with a lopsided loss to the lowly Lakers. The win vs Golden State has been the only bright spot in a very disappointing season so far.

I'd say yesterday shows that 100 pound ladies in leather pants are not meant to be bowled over by a locomotive.

FYI,

Now that football is over on Saturday. ABC is starting a new NBA time slot on Sat. nights. They will feature one game during this time. It starts this Sat, with the Cavs hosting the Bulls at 8:30pm EST.

Cavs firing their coach is a bit confusing to me...I haven't watched them this season that much but how bad can the coaching be when they are leading the East?

But look at the rest of the East. What is it saying that they are leading that pack of wannabees. Anyway, I'm sure the GSW and Spur beatdown this week didn't help matters.

It's interesting how Cavs GM spent majority of his presser trying to convince folks that Lebron has no pull in decision-making. Hard to believe they didn't float this decision past him before announcing??Rolleyes

Keep in mind, for the first time since I don't know when, all Eastern play off teams (as of now) are over .500, whereas West has a team under. East might be slowly getting better overall.

I was shocked they fired Blatt too. And I don't buy for a second that Lebron didn't have something to do with it. You usually don't see a coach get fired when the team is in 1st place in the conference and on pace for 60 wins.

Unless Popovich decides to quit the Spurs and start coaching the Cavs, Cleveland will not be winning a series against Golden State or San Antonio. I think they are hoping for a miracle when what they really need is for Lebron to drink from the fountain of youth, and even that probably wouldn't be enough. Lebron is still great but a lot of the explosive athleticism is gone and they would need him to be amazing to compete vs. whichever behemoth comes out of the West.
